It was close, but still not close enough for the Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad as they fell 35-34 to Diagonal. Kynser Reed was big for the Saints as she had 16 points and six rebounds to lead the Saints charge. The Saints drop to 0-5, with four of their losses coming by a combined 11 points. The boys were more successful winning over the Maroons 72-56. Ethan Harrington scored a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds, Steve Krpan followed up with 19. Melcher-Dallas travels to Southeast Warren on Thursday.
