19 states sue Trump administration over DEI programs in public schools

Nineteen states are challenging the Trump administration’s policy on diversity in schools. They filed a lawsuit against the Education Department’s directive. The directive threatened to cut funding for non-compliance. States argue the directive harms students and schools. They say it puts federal funding at risk.
